History/Education
Dr. Christie grew up in the Appalachian mountain town of Oakland, Maryland. She graduated magna cum laude from Hood College, in Fredrick, MD, with a degree in biology. From there, she graduated from the University of Maryland School of Medicine, where she met her husband Matt. They ventured west to Pueblo, CO, where she completed her Family Medicine residency, focusing on obstetrics and rural practice. She put her skills to good use back in her rural hometown for over a year, before she and Matt realized how much they missed Colorado. They moved to Fort Collins in 2004, and have finally put down permanent roots here (with plans of never moving again).
Professional Interests
Dr. Christie's professional interests include women's care and pediatrics, though she sees a full spectrum of family medicine patients. She enjoys managing both wellness and illness directed concerns, and prides herself on collaborating with alternative medicine providers and therapists to help patients achieve optimum wellness.
Personal Interests
Her hobbies include mountain/road biking, trail running, yoga, triathlons, skiing, snowboarding, and spending time with her family and friends. She and her husband Matt have four children (Jonah, Isaac, Naomi, and Abby), a big dog, two cats, a leopard gecko, and never a quiet moment. And that's the way they like it!
